If so then there is no place I would rather be. With toddler in tow we embark on our Great Escape – surrounded by 4500 kangaroos and a Land Rover ‘Defender’ to drive us around. Situated on Australia’s Great Diving Range between two national parks the property provides panoramic quintessential Australian bush land views as far as the eye can see with kangaroos, wallabies and wombats roaming free across the private 7,000 acre carbon neutral wildlife reserve.
The resort presents 40 free-standing villas, each featuring its own private pool and spacious verandah to watch the wallabies hop by while you enjoy a glass of vino from the extensive wine list. My son Romeo thought we had a glorious new abode complete with children’s bike and trainer wheels.
